As users of Android device, they are unrestricted to a sense of exciting activity and freedom that comes after rooting their device and installing a custom recovery on it. If you have a root access on your Android® device such as your LG G2 phone, you have the opportunity to install various applications that require root permission and as a result, tweak your device, customize it, get better battery life, remove bloat apps and so on. By installing a custom recovery, you can try a custom ROM and enjoy accessing the enhanced features of your device.

This method described below has been tested and found working successfully on AT&T LG G2 D800. But still we do not guarantee that it will work to anyone’s phone. In many cases, users’ mistake leads to failure. Follow the tutorial process that we recommend at you own responsibility. Also, installing the stock firmware will wipe out your phone’s data. Do not forget to backup the data of your phone first especially those data that are important.

If you own an AT&T  LG G2, here’s how you can install the stock firmware to your phone. Again this process is to restore AT&T LG G2 D800 to Stock Firmware and cannot be used on any other LG G2 variants.  Before you do the installation process, please check your phone’s model by going to the Settings> About> Model.
Download:
1. LGFlashTools v1.5 – Download
2. LG USB Driver – Download and install the LG USB Drivers and install on your computer.

The ATT version is called LG D800. This guide is specifically for LG D800.
LG D800 ships with a custom Android Firmware that has been “enhanced” by LG and ATT. As of this writing the D800 was being shipped with the firmware version D80010d (there is an OTA update – D80010o / D80100q / D80200c (KITKAT) that your phone will ask you to update to. PLEASE DO NOT if you want to install custom roms. If you already have go to section 4 to downgrade your phone back to D80100d).

1. Download the (LGD800 stock firmware) for AT&T LG G2 D800 users: Download the STOCK firmware and the DLL file both (extract it if it is a ZIP file.
2. a. The D80020c KitKat can be flashed over D80010d and D80010o firmware
   b.You will lose Root
   c. NO WAY TO ROOT YET
   d.You can use Lg Flash Tools to go back to 10d,10o.

Now run the Flash Tool setup file and install it. When it is installed, do not launch it.
Enable USB Debugging on your LG G2 D800 from Settings. 

1. Enable Developer option (General Settings -> About Phone -> Software Information and tap “Build Number” repeatedly(7-10 times) till you see a toast notification )
2. Enable USB Debugging on your device from Settings> Developers options.

Now install the USB Drivers and reboot the computer. To ensure that the drivers have been installed correctly, put your device in Download Mode and then connect it to the PC. You can boot your device in Download Mode this way: Turn off the phone and press the Volume Up button while plugging the USB cable. In case, this method does not work, try the same procedure with holding the ‘Volume Up and Down’ keys both.
Then press Windows + X on your computer’s keyboard and select Device Manager. You should see LG phone listed under COM ports. Right click LGE AndroidNet USB Serial Port (COM2) lg-usb-drivers
Then select Properties> Advanced and change the COM port to COM41. Save the changes and exit. LG-USB-Driver-Installation
When the device drivers have been setup, disconnect your LG G2.
It’s time now to launch the LG Flash Tools, but before doing that—
Set your computer’s date to July 2012.
Disconnect internet connection.
Please take note that the LG Flash Tools require a registration serial key to function. You can search the web to find a working serial key for the program.
Open the LG Flash Tool and input the key.

Now you’ll see a dialog box.
Click on Add button on S/W field and load the firmware file with .TOT extension. Then click the .DLL field and add the DLL file here.lg-flash-tool-1
Click OK.
Now click on the Yellow arrow button on the top left. Doing this initialize the installation process.
When it is done, you’ll see Ready message.lg-flash-tool-2
Unplug your phone now and boot it into Download Mode (Turn off device PRESS VOL UP while plugging in the micro usb cable. If this doesn’t work, try holding both volume keys instead)
As soon as your G2 is connected to PC via USB, it should start flashing the firmware automatically.
At the completion of the process, your AT&T will reboot automatically and hopefully it’ll be running the newly installed stock firmware.
